Lawsuit brought by the Trump campaign and Georgia Republican Party attempting to stop the counting of absentee ballots in Chatham County, Georgia based on unfounded claims that the ballots were received after the required deadline. The Georgia Democratic Party filed a motion to intervene in the case, but the court dismissed the petition one day after it was initially filed.
This case was one of the lawsuits former President Donald Trump and his allies brought in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
