Georgia Trump Election Contest

Election contest filed by Donald Trump, the Trump campaign and a Trump elector challenging the presidential election results in Georgia based on allegations of “illegal votes.” During the course of normal case proceedings, the petitioners attempted to appeal a non-final order to the Georgia Supreme Court, claiming that the lower court judge was not “qualified to preside over” the case. The Georgia Supreme Court dismissed the appeal, and petitioners subsequently voluntarily dismissed the case.

This case was one of the lawsuits former President Donald Trump and his allies brought in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
