New York 22nd Congressional District Challenge
Tenney v. Oswego County Board of Elections
Petition filed by Republican congressional candidate Claudia Tenney challenging the outcome of New York’s 22nd Congressional District election in which incumbent Democrat Anthony Brindisi was initially declared the winner. In her petition, Tenney challenged the validity of certain affidavit and absentee ballots. The state Supreme Court ordered the board of elections to recanvass all ballots in the district. Tenney was eventually declared the winner, winning 109 more votes than Brindisi.
