Pennsylvania Bucks County BOE Appeal

Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. v. Bucks County Board of Elections

Petition filed by the Trump campaign, Republican National Committee (RNC) and Republican campaigns appealing the Bucks County Board of Elections’ (BOE) decision to count certain mail-in ballots that petitioners believed to be deficient, such as ballots returned without a sealed privacy ballot or ballots with incomplete dates or addresses. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) successfully intervened in the case to defend vote by mail. The trial court and appellate court affirmed the BOE’s decision to count the ballots and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected the Republicans’ petition to appeal the lower courts’ decisions.

This case was one of the lawsuits former President Donald Trump and his allies brought in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
