Marc Elias, the Democratic party’s lead attorney on voting rights, has gone to court in Georgia and 17 other states to make sure they have sufficient in-person polling sites, to remove or moderate restrictions to absentee voting and to make sure ballots aren’t rejected without giving voters a chance to appeal.
